Mrs.Tobias began her education career in the San Francisco Bay Area teaching high school English. In the late 1990's, she and her husband moved to Westchester County in New York where he attended seminary and she taught at a private school in New York City. After the birth of their first child, Lizzie, in 2000, Maria and her husband Peter moved to Bozeman. After moving, they had two more children, Gregory and Serge. After taking a ten-year "break" from teaching, Mrs. Tobias decided to renew her teaching credential and qualify as a school librarian. She completed her coursework at MSU/Bozeman in the summer of 2009. This is her first year working as a school librarian and she is enjoying it greatly. Aside from her library work, Mrs. Tobias enjoys reading, gardening, and traveling.
